Program Packets
One of my core responsibilities at Girl Scouts of Utah was designing multi-page documents for programs, promotional materials, and internal use.
To promote diversity and inclusion, I created custom illustrations of girls and graphic elements while blending in Girl Scouts of America's assets, helping to ensure materials were both engaging and representative of the topics and audience.
In addition to the design, I worked on copywriting, editing and putting together these packets from start to finish. Program packets were printed in house at the council office.

Outreach Curriculum Packets
Girls in outreach troops often come from under-resourced communities, including refugee families. The outreach program makes Girl Scouting more accessible by meeting girls where they are and adapting badge requirements to better suit their needs. These modified curriculum packets maintain the integrity of the program while empowering girls to achieve their badges through meaningful effort and participation.

Leadership Summit Workbook
GSU hosts an annual weekend leadership summit at camp to recognize the dedication of its volunteers and provide them with up-to-date council information, training, key contacts, and resources. This workbook includes a variety of activities designed to equip volunteers with the tools they need to support girls in achieving their Girl Scouting goals—from managing finances to coordinating troop logistics.
The Future is Sweet with Cookies!
Cookie sales are a signature part of the Girl Scout experience. While Girl Scouts of America provides national marketing materials and annual themes—such as the 2025 taglines, "The Future is Sweet" and "Unbox the Future"—individual councils can create supplemental resources to further support girls in their cookie-selling efforts.

Summer Camp Catalog 2025
The camp catalog was designed on a high gloss 100 lb paper measuring 8.5 x 5.5 inches for a premium quality look a feel. These were mailed to over 7,000 families. Hundreds of catalogs were also printed and distributed by the council as recruitment materials.
Year over year, girls look forward to signing up for camp programs and the catalog has had an impact of accounting for about 80% of program sign ups. Camp programs are open to Girl Scout members as well as youth interested in participating in the outdoor experience.

Social posts for Summer Camp have been created to match the theme of the catalog.

Originally I had created three summer camp branded themes utilizing Girl Scouts of America's color palette with different shapes and aesthetics. This was reviewed by the council to execute on creating a cohesive campaign influencing all marketing materials for summer camp 2025. Flip through the themes above to see all three options.
I had custom-illustrated animal sticker sheets to add a personalized and playful touch, capturing the unique spirit and experience of summer camp in Utah. These were used as recruitment tools to sign up new members as Girl Scouts while also providing a discount to camp.

Ropes Course Ribbon Cutting

On June 6, 2024, Girl Scouts of Utah unveiled the newly built ropes course at Trefoil Ranch for the first time. The celebration brought together current members, alumni, families, and friends to mark this exciting addition to the camp experience.
The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with remarks from the CEO and Board Chair, followed by the official ribbon cutting by the CEO, Board Chair, and Janice Ruggles. A Girl Scout troop also led a flag ceremony to open the celebration.
I was responsible for capturing photography and video coverage of the event, including Girl Scouts experiencing the ropes course for the first time. I also designed on-site signage featuring course obstacles and a special thank-you sign recognizing the Ruggles family, whose generous donation made the ropes course possible. The signage was prominently displayed during a reception at the camp lodge.

Camping For a Cause 2024
Camping for a Cause is a 21+ weekend fundraiser held at Camp Cloud Rim. Set at 9,200 feet in elevation, the event offers women a chance to enjoy classic camp activities—like kayaking, hiking, bird watching, tai chi, and sunrise yoga—followed by evening fun including a gourmet dinner, movie night, and a dance party under the stars.
Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction support GSU’s camp properties, scholarships, and outdoor programming for girls.
My role included designing all event signage, social media graphics, paid ads, and email communications, ensuring brand consistency across all materials. I also served as a council representative, helping to facilitate the weekend and ensure guests had an unforgettable camp experience.

Each camper was given an ID card and an event guide program book at the beginning of their stay. The ID cards doubled as bid numbers, contained lodging information, emergency contacts and each participant's activities.
The event guide book details information about the weekend's activities, donors and features an interactive coloring activity on the back cover.
To complement the back cover of the event guide book—a large interactive sign was created as a collaborative coloring activity for attendees. This installation offered a creative and relaxing way for guests to connect with one another during the event.

All signage for the event was created using Girl Scout of America's ocean blue as a primary color and sky blue as a secondary color.

The event featured a silent auction as an additional fundraising stream, accompanied by a champagne toast to encourage participation. Auction items included custom-branded Camping for a Cause certificates, adding a thoughtful, polished touch to each offering and reinforcing the event's cohesive visual identity.

Celebrating 20 years of attending Camping for a Cause, Rachel Benator was presented with a Golden Camper Award by the GSU Board Chair

A looping slideshow was presented at the main cabin lodge featuring photos of past Camping for a Cause events, a thank you to sponsors, testimonials from girls at camp and the impact of outdoors experiences.
During dinner, these slides were shown alongside a camp sizzle reel video which debuted for the first time.
I had assisted the production team in capturing footage of the camp and girls during the film shooting. The video can be found on GSU's YouTube page.

Girl Scouts of Utah partnered with PBS to encourage youth to explore the outdoors through activities with Nature Cat. The program was open to the public, and all participants—regardless of membership—could earn a patch. It also served as a recruitment effort and was part of a national initiative involving multiple Girl Scout councils.

A branded slideshow was created to also highlight speakers, sponsors and feature aspects of the event.

UTDOTG Brunch Room
In the lead-up to the Utah Day of the Girl brunch event, we executed a multi-channel promotional campaign. This included distributing quarter-page flyers, featuring a full-page advertisement in the Camping for a Cause event booklet, and sharing a series of social media posts spotlighting the event’s keynote speakers. Additionally, targeted email outreach was sent to our subscriber list to boost awareness and attendance.

As part of the Utah Day of the Girl event, I designed a series of print materials to introduce the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) to the public in a visually engaging showcase. The GSLE highlights four key program pillars—STEM, Outdoors, Life Skills, and Entrepreneurship—through which Girl Scouts engage in hands-on activities and earn badges that foster growth in each domain.
In addition to the core GSLE pillars, I also created supporting materials that highlight the Girl Scout Heritage Museum, the Juliette Program for individually registered members, the Adult Volunteer experience, and the Girl Scout Highest Awards (Bronze, Silver, and Gold). These assets provided a well-rounded view of the diverse opportunities available through Girl Scouts.
These designs have since been repurposed by the recruitment team at various events to help illustrate the depth and impact of the Girl Scout experience to prospective members.
To highlight the lasting impact of the Girl Scout Program, I worked on designing a series of “GSU Fun Facts,” originally created for Camping for a Cause fundraiser. These frames have continued to serve as engaging visual elements at events such as Utah Day of the Girl, Recognition of Excellence, and recruitment tabling opportunities.
Recognition of Excellence

The Recognition of Excellence ceremony honors the remarkable achievements of Girl Scouts who have earned their Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards—the highest awards in Girl Scouting. This annual celebration highlights the dedication, leadership, and community impact of these girls as they complete meaningful service projects that address real-world issues.
The event serves as a powerful tribute to their hard work and a celebration of their commitment to making a difference.
Recognition of Excellence Mailed Invitations
I had conducted a theme exploration utilizing Girl Scouts of America's color palette with different shapes and aesthetics to inform the design of materials for the Recognition of Excellence Event. As the Awards had undergone a rebrand with new logos, the council wanted to create a cohesive campaign influencing all marketing materials for future ceremonies.
